Bernard Lucien Nussbaumer

Bernard Lucien Nussbaumer is a Swiss-born entrepreneur, film/tv producer, investor, farmer, and teacher.  He left his native country as a successful documentary film producer and acting teacher to pursue his passion in the U.S.  

His credits as film producer include Guillermo del Toro's Cronos.  He created the CBS network series Dellaventura.  As co-founder and executive producer at The Mine, LLC, he oversaw more than 50 music videos and commercials, as well as multiple long-form  DVDs. He is currently developing a series based on the best-selling novel The Second Son by Charles Sailor, and is an executive producer of the feature documentary, The Monty Alexander Movie (set for 2024 completion.)

Bernard is currently producing and writing Chasing Time, a documentary on auto racing from the POV af mature drivers. Set among Porsche Boxter-class racing teams, filming included a major shoot, during 2024 competition season, at the iconic racetrack Sebring.

While successfully investing in real estate as a developer, both in the U.S. and Switzerland, he co-founded Buda Juice, LLC, a Dallas-based company dedicated to producing 100% fresh, organic, and glass-bottled juices. In seven years the company has grown from a single-store facility to a fully automated operation, distributing its products to supermarket chains such as Whole Foods and Costco.

Increasingly concerned by the devastating impact that human actions have on our planet, Bernard and daughter Nile joined forces to do their part in combating environmental harm and urban pollution in particular.  They created Plan T, a non-profit organization aimed at planting trees in underserved inner cities.  

Bernard's interests are race-car driving, photography, competitive backgammon, art collecting, mixed-martial arts, and yoga.  He runs a ranch in East Texas, and recently restored a large hacienda in San Miguel de Allende with his wife Michelle (who is an internationally acclaimed  interior designer).
